THE CROSSROAD

The crossroad is a place of confusion, where you can’t rely on your intuition.
There, any wrong turn could lead to eternal condemnation.
If and when you get there,
Never submit to fear but rather take courage and cheer.
Pause for a moment in any situation.
Prayerfully discern at that junction.
Listen to your respondent, let the Holy Spirit function.

At least for once, certainly not by chance.
I have this to share so take your stance.
You might have been or may get there soon.
It may be dawn, night or noon.
When you forget what to do, or you don’t know where to go.
Upon you darkness looks and certainty seems very low.
Call onto Him and grace will flow.

Times will come that you may lust, not because you are bad.
But surely you are dust and in you flows blood.
Rely not on your flesh but flee fast, forget not the salvation you once had.

You may feel like coining lyrics to defray your neighbour's insolence.
Remember that the Holy Spirit is your conscience.
Just tame the tongue, for the world is your audience.
No matter who is wrong, be filled with patience.

You may be a victim of austerity and it may seem like no one is watching.
Yes, you are money thirsty and your fast fingers may not be so short.
You have succeeded many times doesn’t mean you cannot be caught.
Be still and know that stealing isn’t your portion.
All riches is of God so kindly take caution.
When you look left and right, remember to look up to heaven.
Mathew seven, seven; Ask and you shall be given.

From within, your temperature may be ignited and the heart begins to beat faster.
Yet, control your temper against furious anger.
For it may only be a test of which you are not the first.
You cannot afford to trail this trial, hence let not the sun set.

Be truthful always, if possible all your living days.
Be not shy, only fear God up high.
Don’t ever lie, for all liars shall die.
This is the word, that which you must know:
Believe in your YES and let your no remain NO!

The cross road may be smooth, rough, tough, tarred or graded.
Sickness may eat your faith dead,
Poverty may disgrace you instead.
Your cry unheard and your prayer yet to be answered.
Initiate that faithful step as you look ahead.
Fight your salvation with fear and trembling,
By grace, I see you prevailing.

UnWILLING to Wail

To them all who fail to fall, The frail who don’t wail, Who smile to sad e-mails, Just because they’re males. I know a man who loves One that eats with gloves Starving just to feed his own Yes, everyone at home he owes. I know a strong man! Not for his muscles and biceps But for always saying “I can” Without knowing the precepts. Everyone looks up to him But when he looks up Even the lights onto him dim And doors begin to shut. I know this boy now old; Doing just as he was told “Men don’t cry so be bold” He swallowed his pains And bound all emotions chains. He must in sadness give out bliss? In darkness must he illuminate In drought he was the waterfall  When the rains came, he was last to drink. He sleeps at dawn and awakens same Goes insane to make his family sane He must be frugal and yet extravagant  In all, he dares not say I can’t.  No body cares he gets the courage. Yet if death defeats him in marriage, They awake early in the morning  Not for lack of sleep du...

YOUR own PEN

Something mostly divine, Sometimes, it's ours to define. Unlike the plant called Vine, Destiny seldom has pine. And it is our duty to prune and refine. From the feet till we see the spine. It may be a good omen, To which we shout Amen. It might have a fault to mend or dirt to filter, Which might make us think that God did falter. But we can write our own destiny. Yes, we always do. Remember that road you used to the mill, The particular person you talked to, Has it not been your own will? When you wanted to learn, Even when in prayer you did yearn, You took that training seriously, And you passed out successfully, That was your own destiny. That was your pen on paper. When you write, no one can alter. I am the secretary of the God you don't know. Now wait while I print yours out to show. Written down by you as white as snow.

EVEN GOD CAN'T SINK THIS SHIP

As Doyen as he seemed,  He sunk into the deep of his heart And aroused what couldn't exist  Common Ice, piercing the metallic. T'is was on that special beast A kind of untouchable brute When that captain let go everything No, it rather slipped from his hands. The wonder of the world The titan of desire and pleasure She was called The TITANIC. For it was as hard as titanium. "Even God can't sink this ship" Said the captain of the night Who revered not the Lord's might But thought the engineer was alright Words they say aren't just powerful They are sometimes dreadful Causing pain even in the bossom of God, To Let frozen water cut a ship like sword. If you ever watched the movie, And listened to the latter, These words you would remember That truly God never sunk it, The captain rather sang  And then, the ship gently sunk.
