MOTHERS

They breastfed us, yes but we bit them.
With their lips as an emblem,
They liberated our nostrils,
Of phlegms meandering like contrails.

A career woman she's now called,
Aid to man when his pocket stalled.
Beautifully keeps the house before going to work,
Yet at home we fail to praise her worth.

So shall the real woman wake,
Early from bed and for her family, bake.
And we still ask, "How arduous are house chores?
A mere sweeping and cleaning course.

Therefore a mother's grin:
Is mostly misconstrued.
Seldom depicting true bliss,
Other times, it's a rare solace,
In how much age her child accrued.

Then she flashes back in time,
As if she never lost a dime,
While pruning her children,
Even though it hurt her spine.

The sacrifices she made,
Stooping so low as their maid,
Just to get them to fill their belly.
And yet, we think it's her biblical duty?

That's the mother's calling.
Of which not every woman can hear,
Some try due to the love they fall in,
But most of them don't bear.

To the single moms who never rested till our fees were fully paid,
Upon whose chest our unknown dad's duty is laid.

Those who with hot water squeezed our skull,
Till the head was rounded and mull.
The many who chased us just to take our bath,
And the churchy ones who wake us early on the Sabbath.

WE SAY, HAPPY SMOTHERS' DAY.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

UnWILLING to Wail

To them all who fail to fall, The frail who don’t wail, Who smile to sad e-mails, Just because they’re males. I know a man who loves One that eats with gloves Starving just to feed his own Yes, everyone at home he owes. I know a strong man! Not for his muscles and biceps But for always saying “I can” Without knowing the precepts. Everyone looks up to him But when he looks up Even the lights onto him dim And doors begin to shut. I know this boy now old; Doing just as he was told “Men don’t cry so be bold” He swallowed his pains And bound all emotions chains. He must in sadness give out bliss? In darkness must he illuminate In drought he was the waterfall  When the rains came, he was last to drink. He sleeps at dawn and awakens same Goes insane to make his family sane He must be frugal and yet extravagant  In all, he dares not say I can’t.  No body cares he gets the courage. Yet if death defeats him in marriage, They awake early in the morning  Not for lack of sleep du...

LIFE’S Package

Today you call me peaceful… With me you feel so cheerful…. But this hair you see today… Could lose color sometimes. This dimple will shrink one day, As nimble as it may. So shall this smile, Not last for a long while. This beautiful face that stole your heart, This calmness in our daily chat. When life decides to take all away, Will you boldly dare to still stay? This kind man you so revere, Whose gifts keep you near. One day life can steal his car, Leaving him with just an attire. When the kindness has finished, And the night drives diminish. When life takes away my packaging, Say you will still be with me. When anger comes from the unknown, As age is dipping my curvy hipbone, When my height bends my back, And without support, I am stack. Will you be there? Will you still be here? Will you stay with me? <amp-auto-ads type="adsense"         data-ad-client="ca-pub-2214510780832889"> </amp-auto-ads>

The GENESIS

The antithesis of saying goodbye Is the Genesis of embracing goodness. The latter is welcomed in finesse, But the former is hard to witness. A mother’s heartbeat of oxymoron, Contrasting her grandchild’s nephron. All aimed for the same good result.  Such is life; like sugar and salt. A wife’s long awaited embrace, A husband’s lonely footsteps on foreign terrace. When the saying “I miss you” Now sounds fainter than hue. A gap is about to be bridged, Yet other bonds are rigged. A time to miss an uncle, Like a pain in one’s ankle. Grandma had urge to cry, But tears so short and dry. Kids yearn for time to run fast, Adults share memories for the last. Just like a dream but we saw it all, Entering terminals big and small. As if just going for a stroll, Until the pilot took control. Yes, God took the wheel, And now the dream is real. A family reunited together,  By faith and none other.
